Poshmark is a well-known app that provides opportunity for anyone to create an account and either sell or purchase brand name clothing. This application I have used countless times and I have had success but also some failures. Poshmark is great because there are constant posts of different apparel brands and an account holder can follow other people if they like what they post for sale. Furthermore, it is an easily understood app and the prices marked are usually reasonable. However, I am always hesitant to spend hundreds of dollars on a website that other people are selling apparel on. What if the clothing isn’t in the condition that I thought it was? What if it doesn’t fit and I want a refund? These are questions that I have been asked when I admit to having used Poshmark in the past. Well, Poshmark gives you options to resend the item back and get a refund. This creates a way out even after the purchase. Another struggle for sellers on Poshmark is that they must physically mail the items to the buyers. It sounds complex and often a hindrance whereas I sell my apparel to peers in the Spokane community. Moral of the story, use Poshmark at your own risk. Don’t rip yourself off. Compare prices and ask for images if need be.

Worn Wear by Patagonia is a website that I personally recommend. It is barely used Patagonia apparel that is up for resell and is h Want to add a caption to this image? Therefore, give Worn Wear a gander. They may just have what you are looking for. Plus, the website is aesthetically pleasing. Bonus Points! What more could you want from a second-hand retailer?

If you have any questions about specific apparel and where the best places to find it, or about other second-hand retailers shoot us an email at adventureagain2018@gmail.com. As always, cheers to new adventures!

This is a common question that I am asked by friends when they become aware of my hobby of thrifting. I have to say, there are a few brands that I stand by for quality. However, I think each outdoor recreational brand brings their own benefits to the table of assorted retailers. For example, I swear by Nike for running and workout gear. The quality is top notch and Nike is often found at thrift stores in excellent condition. I have a closet-full of Nike sweatshirts that were thrifted in almost perfect condition.

However, Patagonia or The North Face is the go-to for ski apparel. The quality is remarkable, and both retailers have locations to send worn gear to be fixed at discounted prices. In addition, both of these brands are heavily sold at REI and can often be racked on clearance sections. All of my ski apparel is predominately The North Face or Patagonia and was found at reduced prices. I highly recommend these two brands.

For hiking, I would recommend either Columbia, generic REI, or Eddie Bower. Eddie Bower sells retail adventure clothing to lower prices and I have found the quality is similar to the more expensive brands. I recommend checking their website or finding a physical location. In addition, these three brands are located at many thrift stores and can usually be found in good condition. I recommend all of these brands because each of these retailers sell at reduced prices and are often available at second-hand retailers.

Spokane, Washington is the place to be. This may to be hard to believe, but there are some incredible places to explore in the Spokane area. Eastern Washington has diverse geographical environments and provides various outdoor adventures because of its vast variety in landscape. In this personal blog, I will give my personal hot spots of Spokane and tell you where to go if you find yourself in this beautiful city.

The first location that I highly recommend visiting is the top of Mt. Spokane. There is a long windy road that veers off at the top of the summit that leads you to the peak of the mountain. This road is incredibly rocky and narrow, so make sure you drive a durable SUV. In addition, I recommend only visiting when there isn’t heavy snow fall or ice on the roads. At the peak of this mountain, there is a stone cabin that sits beside the ski lifts. It’s a beautiful 360-degree view of the mountain range that Mt. Spokane is located. Specific address and navigation to this peak can be found on Google easily.

The second location that I recommend visiting is Bowl and Pitcher Park. This park is in North Spokane, close in proximity to Whitworth and has countless recreational activities available. Bowl and Pitcher has approximately 5-7 miles to hike or bike, a camping site, and a suspension bridge that you can walk across to access the trails. It is also a beautiful place to take pictures.

The third location that I recommend in the Spokane area is visiting the Palouse Falls. This is farther away and it’s about 2 hours away. I promise this drive is worth the time. The water falls are absolutely jaw-dropping and you can hike down closer to the falls (at your own risk). If you do happen to visit the Palouse, make sure you follow the signs and stand far away from the cliff sides; especially if there was reason snow or rain fall.

These are only a few of Spokane’s hidden beauties. There are countless hiking trails within five miles from one another. However, these three locations have been ones that I have continually revisited and not gotten tired of the incredible views. Directions to these three places can easily be found on google. If you cannot find legitimate or clear directions, please shoot us an email @adventureagain2018@gmail.com. As always, cheers to new adventures!
